The Turkish airline crew successfully delivered a baby on board a flight from Conakry, Guinea. Nafi Diaby was 28 weeks pregnant at the time and started going into labor mid-air. The baby was born safely and immediately taken to a hospital in Burkina Faso upon landing.
The baby was named Kadiju which means “premature child.” The airline shared photos following the success of the event to their Facebook page.
Welcome on board Princess! Applause goes to our cabin crew! 👏🏻👶🏽
When babies are born over national waters it can be a bit complicated determining their place of birth, but it general has to do with which country a plane is registered in.
