The Transportation Security Administration has announced that it will start being more selective about who it allows through the TSA PreCheck program that allows travelers to move through the security line at an expedited pace.
The limitations are being called a “natural progression” in the program and will “significantly reduce access to TSA PreCheck expedited screening for non-enrolled travelers.”
There were recently 11 more airlines added to the program, bringing the total to 30 airlines. They still have goals to enroll 25 million people by 2019.
“TSA strongly recommends that frequent flyers (three or more round trips per year) enroll in a DHS trusted traveler program such as TSA PreCheck Application Program or Global Entry to obtain access to expedited screening when going through airport security.”
