The Niagara Falls ferry will be launching early this year, and the Saturday, April 1 opening will make it the earliest opening date of all time.
This is the second year in a row that the Maid of the Mist vessels has been launched early. The ferry will run from the beginning of April until May 19 from 9 AM to 5 PM local time on weekdays and between 9 SM to 6 PM on weekends.
Maid of the Mist president Christopher Glynn released a statement about the move.
“Maid of the Mist VI and Maid of the Mist VII are ready to navigate the waters of the Lower Niagara River to the Maid of the Mist Pool at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Our captains, crew members and associates are prepared to welcome guests from around the world as we build on last year’s record season, when 1.6 million visitors boarded our iconic vessels. Our guests will take with them an experience that will last a lifetime.”
