A new Hilton hotel has opened in Jordan at the lowest point on earth. The Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa is located 1345 feet below sea level in the town of Sweimeh.
This is the first time that Hilton has opened a hotel in Jordan, which is popular for the healing benefits of the Dead Sea.
A Hilton executive named Andreas Lackner who is in charge of brand management said:
“The Dead Sea is one of the most unique places in the world and has evolved into a major hub of both religious and health and wellness tourism in the region.”
All 285 of the guest rooms in the hotel have views of the ocean, and there are seven different restaurants on location including a beach bar at a rooftop lounge.
