Royal Caribbean cruise lines already held the record for the world’s largest cruise ship, but now they are one upping themselves and bringing out something even bigger, effectively taking the record once again.
The next big ship Symphony of the Seas is expected to premiere next year in April of 2018. On their website they referred to it as a “mic drop,” and the Royal Caribbean International president and CEO Michael Bayley called the ship the “latest, greatest, newest, most beautiful baby that’s coming soon.”
The ship will hold 5,494 people and weigh 230,000 tons. Not all of its features have been confirmed yet, but it has been shared that the ship will have a bionic bar where robots will do the serving, as well as a multi-deck water slide area.
