Mexico City is one the largest and oldest cities in the Americas, built on top of the ancient Aztec city of Tenochtitlan. Today it’s a vibrant city with over 150 museums and galleries. Here are some must see things while you’re in the city.

Mexico City offers 50 different regional cuisines all in place, so you can taste a wide variety of food styles from street food to fine dining.
Boat the “Venice of the New World.”
In south Mexico City there are som manmade islands called Xochimilco, which have canals weaving through them. Flat bottom boats take guests down the canals at certain times, show off the sights of the floating city which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

With over 150 museum and galleries there is a lot of art to be seen in Mexico City. Some popular options are the Soumaya Museum, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and the Dolores Olmedo Museum. The latter houses a collection of works by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
