There are some hot springs in Canada where you can sit and watch the Northern Lights while you soak. The Takhini Hot Pools in Whitehorse are located in the Yukon and have been open for over 100 years.
The mineral waters are naturally between 96.8 and 107.6 Fahrenheit, making them a great place to warm up out of the cold. Groups from one to four people can rent out the pools between 10 PM and 1 AM all winter long to view the northern lights. Doing so will cost about $161.
There is also a nearby campground and hostel for anyone who wants to stay in the chilly area and spend extra time at the springs. The hostel is literally a 30 second from the springs, so it’s easy enough to handle the cold walk back.
