Virgin will open its second boutique hotel this summer in San Francisco following the opening of their original location in Chicago in 2015.
The hotel be located south of Market street and offer 196 rooms on 12 floors, with a rooftop bar to top things off.
The hotel’s CEO Raul Leal said that “San Francisco is always one of our primary target markets. It’s kind of a natural fit for us. The neighborhood is growing and thriving. I think it’s the right timing and the right location for us.”
The hotel itself has plans to cater to business travelers, but they hope to bring in the locals and the general tourists for the bar action. Virgin also has plans to open hotels in New Orleans, Silicon Valley, Nashville, Palm Springs, Dallas, and New York City.
