A brewery in Virginia called the Veil Brewing Company has debuted a drink called “Hornswoggler with Oreos” which they explain as “our 7% robust chocolate milk stout Hornswoggler and conditioned it on hundreds of pounds of Oreo cookies.”
The conditioning process is a short aging period where beer is mixed with something to pick up the flavors. In this case, it’s Oreos, meaning that the beer will taste like Oreo cookies.
The beer did, however, have to release a warning along with the product. They cautioned that there might be some fermentable sugar from the cookies left in the beer, which means that the cans could potentially explode. They suggest keeping them as cold as possible to avoid it.
