Virgin Hotels will be opening a Washington D.C. property in the fall of 2019. The hotel will be focused on art with art on display from local artists, as well as with attached studios.
The hotel will feature a panoramic rooftop lounge with an infinity pool, an art-filled garden, and a variety of dining spaces including Virgin’s Commons Club.
The Virgin Hotels CEO, Raul Leal released a statement about opening in the location.
“We are thrilled to bring Virgin Hotels to Washington D.C.’s travelers and residents with an energetic lifestyle hotel experience unlike anything currently offered in the city. We are excited to be part of the continued evolution and growth of the vibrant Union Market neighborhood.”
Virgin Hotels first started opening properties in 2015. They reportedly have plans to open more in San Francisco, Dallas, Palm Springs, New York, New Orleans, and Nashville, and are considering Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Austin, Seattle, Toronto, Montreal, and London.
