Vietnam Air and Air France have announced a partnership with the intention of making travel easier between France, Europe, and Vietnam.
Previously passengers on Vietnam Airlines were able to travel to 14 European destinations, now they will be able to travel to 70. The three Vietnamese locations that Air France passengers could travel to will now jump to 20. Those are some significant changes.
The two airlines have actually had a partnership for about 20 years, but they recently reevaluated what that means. Franck Terner, the CEO of Air France released a statement about the move.
“Consolidating our alliances is one of the aims of our Trust Together strategic plan. This joint venture agreement will be a long-term source of value for our customers and for our two airlines. Our aim is to maintain and develop our position as European leader in this region with very strong growth potential.”
