Two tourists had a trespassing gone very wrong when they tried to break into the Colosseum in Rome on Tuesday night. Both of the men took a 14-foot fall off the entry gate as they attempted to enter.
Authorities were called to the scene and the men were both taken to the hospital. One of the men was treated for full body bruising while the other was treated for a fractured pelvis.
In addition to the injuries the men are also facing trespassing charges and could be jailed if they are convicted of the crime. The punishments for trespassing and defacing property in Italy have been increasing thanks to an increase of the occurrence.
