The Transportation Security Administration has announced that they will be tightening up their x-ray screening procedures. Now all electronics that are larger than a cell phone will have to go through the x-ray machine to be screened.
Officials have already been testing out this procedure at ten different airports and will continue to expand their efforts. The goal is to put this practice into effect at every single airport in the United States.
The TSA Acting Administrator Huban A. Gowadia released a statement about the move.
“Whether you’re flying to, from, or within the United States, TSA is committed to raising the baseline for aviation security by strengthening the overall security of our commercial aviation network to keep flying as a safe option for everyone.”
