Donald Trump second travel ban called “Travel Ban 2.0” is expected to be announced on Monday. The second version of the ban will include some changes such as excluding Iraq but now allowing people with visas and permanent residence to enter the U.S.
The first ban was put into place on January 27 and then overturned by February 9. It’s original terms banned people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen for 90 days. It was criticized for being a Muslim ban.
A couple week’s ago Trump shared that:
“We’re issuing a new executive action next week that will comprehensively protect our country. So we’ll be going along the one path and hopefully winning that, at the same time we will be issuing a new and very comprehensive order to protect our people.”
