Summer is a popular time for travel, but so popular that the fall can be a better option for many. The “shoulder season” of late September through early November can be an ideal time for visiting places that get overrun in the summer months.
The perks extend beyond just shorter lines and less crowded beaches. This time of year can also be cheaper for flights, hotel stays, etc. Plus, when it takes less time to get around and find an uncrowded view you might be able to fit in more activities to your trip overall.
Some examples of places that lighten up in those months include Paris, Fiji, and Tahiti. It’s a good time to visit popular areas of Canada since the tourism slows down but winter months haven’t set in yet.
