When it comes to travel some cities are just going to be more tourist friendly than others. The recently released World Economic Forum’s 2017 Travel and Tourism Competitiveness report spilled details about which is which and why.
The survey took into account things that affect the tourist service infrastructure such as the number of hotel rooms per capita, the quality of the tourism infrastructure, how prevalent major car rental companies are, and the number of ATMs available per adult. This survey did not take into account things like Visas and accessibility overall.
The country that falls into the number one spot is Austria thanks to its many hotel rooms and car rental companies. Austria is followed by Spain, the U.S., Portugal, Portugal, Croatia, Switzerland, the U.K., Australia, Germany, and then Canada.
