A new airline is launching with the specific intent to take skiers right to the top of Switzerland’s highest peaks. The airline is called Powdair and will now connect eight different European airports to Sion, Switzerland.
Sion is close to Nendaz, Verbier, and Zermatt. Rob Stewart, the company’s media relations manager spoke out about the concept.
“There wasn’t really an airline dedicated to serving that route from the U.K. and from northern Europe. There is some activity there that lasts in the winter, typically in the peak season month of February, but not across the whole season.”
