The icon Plaza Hotel in New York City has listed the Astor Suite for sale at $39.5 million. The suite has welcomed guests like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and president John F. Kennedy.
The 4,284-square-foot suite overlooks Central Park and Fifth Avenue and recently completed a two-year renovation. The suite has three bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.
The suite was most recently owned by the Esprit founder and former CEO Jurgen Friedrich, who purchased it for $25 million ten years ago. He first listed it in 2008 but couldn’t find a buyer to take the $55 million listing price and took it back off the market in 2009. It was then put back on the market in 2011.
The hotel has a variety of rooms that have been converted into private condos.
