Royal Caribbean has confirmed that they will be testing out a new drink policy on some of their Harmony of the Seas ships within the year. They used to have an unlimited drink package, but now everyone will be required to buy one if someone else in their cabin has one.
The concept behind this is to cut down on sharing drinks from a single drink package. This was actually their initial policy but it was dropped shortly after their ships took sail. Now they’re bringing it back to see what happens.
Other cruise lines such as Carnival, Holland America, and MSC Cruises have made similar policy changes to avoid drink sharing.
