In March Qatar announced their plans to offer double beds in business class, and now the opportunity has come to fruition. The first ever double beds in flight are now available on flights from London’s Heathrow Airport and will be offered at others soon as well.
The overall concept design includes quads where groups up to four can sit facing each other, but partitions can be raised to create total privacy for people who are traveling alone. The seats lay down into beds, and the pairs can be joined to make double beds.
The QSuites are expected to be pretty comfortable. Jonathan Harding, Qatar’s senior vice president for Europe released a statement about the concept.
“It’s a revolutionary, brand new, game-changing product which we are going to roll out across our business class fleet, raising the business class experience to a new level.”
The seats will cost you $4,300 each way, but that includes some slippers that travelers get to keep at the flight.
