Qatar Airways has announced their plan to offer double beds in their business class section, making them the first airline to do so. They shared the news at a trade show in Berlin this week.
Their new design will also have some areas where four seats can be converted into a business quad surrounded by privacy walls, which is perfect for meetings mid-air.
Qatar said that they patented both the quad configuration and the double bed layout, which means that other airlines might not have something similar for a while.
The airline was already recognized in 2016 by Skytrax for having the World’s Best Business Class, so it sounds like a title that they’re attempting to uphold.
