Puerto Rico is still recovering from the recent Hurricane Maria, but for the most part, they are already back in business and ready for visitors. Except the visitors are not yet showing up.
At the moment about 70 percent of the communication network on the island is up and running, and 70 percent of the water service is as well. The main airport is fully in service, as are many hotels and casinos.
But not everything is in perfect working order. Many of the beaches are closed due to weather dangers, and the beach is a huge reason for many travelers to visit. Getting the tourism industry up and running again is key for the area, since it creates jobs for 80,000 people and brings in around $4 billion each year.
