Now you can go to Antarctica for a single day. A South Africa hotel is now offering single day charters on a private jet. However, the excursion costs a massive $195,000 per person.
For that price up to 12 travelers can leave their Cape Town hotel Ellerman House and hop on a five and a half hour flight on a Gulfstream G550. The dining on the plane will be above average with sushi, Wagyu beef, and unique cocktails that have been made with 1,000-year-old glacial Antarctica ice.
Upon arrival, the travelers will spend six hours at Schirmacher Oasis where they will have the opportunity to go rock climbing and exploring. There is also the option to extend the trip for up to four days in case the six hours on land doesn’t sound like enough fun.
White Desert is supposedly the only company that takes private jet flights to Antarctica and promises to operate in “strict accordance with the environmental tourism guidelines laid out in the Antarctic Treaty.”
