According to new findings by the J.D. Power 2016 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, the opinions of 40,000 travelers ranked Portland International the best large airport in North America for the second year in a row.
The second best large airport was Tampa International, followed by Las Vegas McCarran Airport. In medium airports Indianapolis International came in on top, followed by Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and Fort Myers/Southwest Florida International Airport.
Overall traveler satisfaction went up for airports in general, most notably in baggage claim as well as food and retail. People did not note much improvement to security, which was probably because there was an increased amount of people going through so wait times did not decrease in 2016.
The lowest ranked airports in the large airport category happened to be New York LaGuardia Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Philadelphia International Airport.
