The Playboy Club has plans to open in New York City once again. The club will open later this year in midtown at the Cachet Boutique New York Hotel.
Manhattan’s original Playboy Club opened in 1962 and closed in 1986. The new version of the club will include a lounge area, game room, a full-service dining room, and of course some Playboy Bunnies, which according to a press release have a “worldwide, well-deserved reputation for their style and graciousness.”
The Playboy brand once had 40 clubs open and while that number has dropped significantly there have been some recent new editions. It’s an interesting time for the company since they stopped publishing nude photos in 2015 and the Playboy Mansion was sold in 2016.
