Amazon has announced that they are partnering with a new wine line called NEXT. The news comes shortly after the online retailer announced that they had purchased Whole Foods, but it’s unclear whether the wine will be sold at the brick and mortar stores.
The wine will first be available on Amazonwine.com and then will be followed by kingvintners.com. It retails between $20 and $40.
King Estate co-founder Ed King III released a statement about the move.
“We’re launching NEXT on Amazon to re-establish the connection between winemaker and wine lover in today’s ‘digital village.'”
The Amazon wine section has been around for years already and will deliver within in hour in some areas. Can’t really beat those delivery options.
