The Norwegian Cruise Lines has begun the booking process for their first cruises to Cuba. The four-day trips from Miami will start running on May 1, and take place on the 2,004-passenger Norwegian Sky ship.
The voyages will include one overnight stay in Havana, as well as the company’s private Bahamas island Great Stirrup Cay.
The emabrgo in place between the U.S. and Cuba still requires visitors to fall into one of 12 different approved categories such as having educational pursuits like people-to-people exchanges.
The only other cruise service going from the U.S. to Cuba so far is the 74 person cruise Adonia, which recently announced that they will close the service after having a hard time attracting enough customers.
