According to a report by J.D. Power, people still rate New York’s airports as their least favorite in the United States. The highest rated airport in the country was the Orlando International Airport.
After Orlando high ranks were given to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Las Vegas’s McCarran International Airport. Of the mid-sized airports, Sacramento International was a favorite as well.
The rating came from a mixture of qualities that the airports have to offer, such as terminal facilities, accessibility, security checkpoints, baggage claim, check-in, and the dining and retail options. Overall travelers seem pretty happy with the state of airports in general.
Things that tend to bump up the user-friendly experience of airports are technological advances that encourage ease. Self-check-in systems with bag drop off are some of those things that are seen as highly favorable.
