There is a single best restaurant in the world if you trust the judges from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The ceremony was held this week in Melbourne, Australia and named New York City’s Eleven Madison Park the best of the best.
The contest is judged by 1,000 industry experts and this is the first time since 2004 that a U.S. restaurant has taken the title. The restaurant’s head chef Daniel Humm was clearly thrilled with the win.
“I don’t know how I feel right now but I’m overjoyed. I’m so proud to be up here. When I first started cooking 25 years ago, I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I’d find myself in this position.”
Eleven Madison Park changes its menu seasonally and offers an eleven-course tasting menu for $295.
