New York has announced its plans to launch a new ferry service that will connect Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Mayor Bill de Blasio made a statement about the convenient new addition.
“A new era begins in New York City. This community, for too long, didn’t have the connection to the rest of the city that it deserved.”

The ferry will cost $2.75 which is about the same as a ride on the subway. A group of second graders were chosen to name the new ferry boats, so they’ll be called things like “McShiny,” “Lunchbox,” and “Urban Voyage.”
The new routes will increase the convenience factor of getting around for locals and tourists alike.
