A new app called TravelBank can help out business travelers by estimating costs based on things like travel dates, company travel policies, and the market in general.
The budget can be drawn up and then viewed on the app, which will allow them to carefully decide where they should be splurging and where they should be saving. The app also encourages people to stay under budget by offering credits in addition to cash.
So for example, if someone comes in way under budget they might be offered $250 in Uber credits to use as they like. The app also partners with brands like Airbnb, so there can be quite a lot of incentives to come in under budget.
The app has also partnered with a few different airlines to make it possible to get some great flight deals. The TravelBank CEO Duke Chung spoke out about the concept.
“Once you lose a generation of customers, it’s really hard to rebrand for the next generation, so it’s sort of a race to get to the cooler, hipper business traveler—and then the airlines get the benefit of keeping them as a customer for many decades. Our ability to reach that younger traveler at scale was actually what was most appealing about us to these airlines.”
