A new Amtrak service will be connecting New York City to the ski area of Vermont. The Ethan Allen Express train will take passengers from the city all the way to Rutland before being switched over to a shuttle that will take them the rest of the way to Killington.
The trip is expected to take six hours and will be convenient in the sense that guests will be dropped off right where they need to be to hit the slopes. This allows people to bring along all of their equipment without needing a car at all in the travel process.
The shuttle service will drop off guests at the Killington Grand Resort, but they will also take requests for different stops along the way.
The Amtrak Vermonter is reportedly around $110 per roundtrip ticket.
