Netflix and Spotify will soon be offered on Qantas flights. By the end of February the airline will be offering the streaming services on all domestic flights. The airline will also be added the Australian service Foxtel.
The services won’t be entirely free if you don’t already have a subscription, but they do work with free 30-day trials so it’s possible to use them on the flights for free.
In addition to the new streaming options, the airline has also promised to introduce a new internet service that will be “ten times faster than existing in-flight Wi-Fi.”
Olivia Worth, the Qantas group executive of marketing released a statement.
“We know that email, online shopping, and general web browsing will be popular uses when we switch on Wi-Fi. But what a lot of people relish about flying is being able to catch up on their favorite TV shows or watch movies they didn’t get to see at the cinema.”
