The National Park Service has announced its National Park Week celebration which includes free entry dates to the parks. The free dates will be available between April 15 and 23.
They’ll also be offering free entry on the weekend of April 22 to 23 at the National Parks. The following are a few examples of parks that generally require admission.
Biscayne National Park
Biscayne National Park in Florida is only an hour outside of Miami. It’s mostly water and free canoe rides are offered so that visitors can keep an eye out for ospreys, crocodiles, and manatees.
Death Valley National Park
Death Valley National Park will be warming up already, but that’s okay since the sunrises and sunsets are some of the best sites to see there. Plus you might get lucky and catch the wildflowers.
Great Sand Dunes National Park
The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado are a great place to see the wildflowers as well as do some sand boarding.
Yosemite National Park
It’s a good time to go to Yosemite National Park since the larger waterfalls start to lighten up when the weather gets warmer.
