National Geographic is teaming up with a river cruise line called Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours. Both of the companies have announced the partnership and the name that it will come together as, National Geographic River Cruises.
Each of the cruises will have an expert from National Geographic on hand to lead discussions and presentations about sights on the trip. There will also be a National Geographic photographer on hand that will be available to help people improve their nature photography skills.
Some of the land excursions that will be a part of the river cruises include hikes and bike rides. There will also be other learning experiences on land that have to do with the history of the area.
National Geographic already has a variety of other adventure trips designed, such as train expeditions, active adventures, family expeditions, student expeditions, and value-priced journeys.
Nancy Schumacher, the head of travel and tour operations for National Geographic released a statement about the trips.
“Our trips are designed to celebrate remarkable destinations, to foster genuine interactions with local cultures, and to promote a deeper understanding of the natural world.”
