Mumbai has opened its first Playboy Club, joining cities like Chicago, New York, Boston, Des Moines, Denver, Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, and Kuopio in hosting the iconic brand name. The launch event was attended by some of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
The club was built in Worli Mumbai, and spans over 8,000 square feet. The club was designed to hold about 800 people at a time, and utilizes the latest technology in sound and light design.
The club was carefully created to meet the Indian laws and social norms but also retain the traditional Playboy sensibility. The club has the same rules as any of the other Playboy clubs, which requires guests to become members before they can attend. Becoming a member of the club gives guests access to a wide variety of Playboy parties.
The first Playboy club was opened in Chicago in 1960 by the company’s founder Hugh Hefner. On the latest launch he said:
“Now the Bunny is back, we are thrilled to be opening clubs in India. These new clubs in India will join our other clubs around the world as we introduce the Playboy good life to a new generation of members and guests.”
