Throughout the Northeast, the Mohegan Sun casino and resort has a reputation for its lush amenities and unbeatable hospitality. An architectural marvel has an untarnished reputation for offering its guests a good time. While staying ahead of the curve is an expensive proposition, the Sun has a history of providing new reasons to hang out for a few nights. Today, the Mohegan Sun has continued that tradition by announcing a $50 million dollar renovation of its existing Sky Tower.
The renovation, which is forecast to take two full years, is likely to begin in the fall, after construction on the resort’s $130 million Earth Tower is completed in the fall of 2016, which will house 400 rooms. The Sky Renovation project will provide a completely re-branded spa experience as well as the inclusion of a Victoria’s Secret and three new eating options. What’s more, the renovation will see rooms throughout the Sky Tower get new carpeting, wall covers, casework furniture and fabrics.
Said Mohegan Sun’s President and GM, Ray Pineault, “At Mohegan Sun, we are committed to continuously providing fresh and appealing offerings. These enhancements are a few examples of our dedication to evolve and steadily exceed the expectations of our valued guests.”
While customers to the hotel are now looking at an extension of the resort’s construction, there’s every indication that the discomfort will be minimal and the wait will be totally worth it.
