Millenials take longer trips but spend less than other age groups. Some recent research that was done on travel habits found that millennials take trips that are two days longer on average but that they spend $1,000 less on those trips.
The research also found that younger millennials take even longer trips than older millennials do. Peru and Thailand currently top the list of travel spots for millenials, and the U.S., U.K., Mexico, Italy, France, and Spain top the list overall in travel for all age groups.
Millenials are also the least likely to be insured on their trips, which can be a concern for long backpacking trips in foreign countries. It’s always worth it to look into the options available to stay as safe and prepared as possible on trips.
