The amount of millennials traveling has continued to grow over recent years, and now reports are saying that the money millennials are spending on travel has surpassed $200 billion each year.
The report was published by FutureCast, called “Millennial Brief on Travel & Lodging,” and it went on to gather information about millennial tastes as well.
The report found that nine out of ten millennials agreed that new experiences were the most important aspect about travel, and that 70 percent of them had the intention to explore communities when they were traveling to learn about the local culture.
The report also said that millennials tend to check around ten different sources for information before deciding on locations and nailing down their travel plans, which shows that they’re always looking for more information.
Almost half of all millennial trips fall into the category of weekend trips, although 62 percent of millennials make an effort to extend their business trips into personal vacations when possible.
