Mark Zuckerberg has challenged Facebook users to travel more in 2017, and he’s showing people how it’s done by setting out on some of his own adventures. Mark’s personal challenge for the year is to “learn new things and grow,” which he plans to do by visiting the 30 states he has not yet visited.
To start things off he headed to North Texas where he spent some time planting a garden alongside other vl=olunteers as part of a Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. The garden will provide fresh fruits and vegetables to a community that needs it.
While in Texas Mark also had a conversation with the Dallas police department about how social media is affecting law enforcement in both good and challenging ways.
Mark sees the effort of seeing more of the country as an important one, especially in our current political climate.
“After a tumultuous last year, my hope for this challenge is to get out and talk to more people about how they’re living, working and thinking about the future.”
