There have been a variety of travel warnings within the past year, some of which have scared people away from Mexico. But the Los Cabos Tourism Board wants people to know that it’s still perfectly safe to visit.
The area welcomes over $2 million travelers each year, and within the past year, they have invested over $47 million dollars into new security efforts.
This includes “a five-point action plan to ensure the safety of all tourists and citizens.” Part of that involves a new security surveillance system, as well as “building a new marine base to amplify ongoing law enforcement activity.”
The Los Cabos Tourism Board released a statement about their dedication to keeping the tourist industry happy and healthy.
“The spirit of Los Cabos is alive and authentic. Ninety percent of people that live here work directly or indirectly in tourism and are fully committed to the destination’s success.”
