A brewery in London is custom making beer based on people’s actual DNA. For $30,000 the Meantime Brewing Company will create a “Meantime Bespoke,” aka “the world’s most personalized beer.”
The process requires undergoing a DNA test. Then “Pioneering personal genetics company 23andMe will assess hereditary variations in your oral taste receptors (the TAS2R38 gene) to reveal the genetic variants that could explain personal preferences towards specific flavour profiles within beer such as sweetness and bitterness.”
After the beer is created, you will get “a one-to-one consultation with our Brewmaster Ciaran [Giblin] allowing you to input on the creative process and ensure you’re happy with the proposed style of beer.”
Once everything is good to go you will walk away with over 2,000 pints of your most favorite beer of all time.
