The island of Tuvalu in the South Pacific is officially the least visited country in the world. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, just 2,000 people visited the islands of Tuvalu in 2016. Although that was an increase from the 1,000 people that visited in 2014.
One good reason to visit Tuvalu if you get a chance is that it has been listed as one of the islands most likely to disappear from changing sea levels. The U.N. suggests that this might happen within the 21st century.
Many locals of the island have already moved to New Zealand over the rising water levels. Travelers can still get the remote and very beautiful island by way of Air Fiji.
