Lima, Peru is a good place to visit any time of the year since the weather doesn’t tend to fluctuate very much. It is in the opposite hemisphere of the U.S. making winter a particularly warm time to go.
February tends to be the warmest with an average of 75�F, while August is usually the coldest with an average temperature of 63�F. It tends to stay pretty cloudy in Lima, but do keep in mind that you need to wear sunscreen anyway.
There are plenty of historical sites to explore in Lima, as well as museums and other cultural attractions. Popular tourist destinations include the Centro Historico de Lima, Museo Larco, and the Plaza de Armas. There are also a lot of outdoor locations to enjoy such as the Palomino Islands.
