Disney will soon be welcoming Pixar Land on its Paradise Pier in the Calfornia Adventure park. In the early months of 2018 that means that some of the rides will be closed for construction, but by the spring the new theme is expected to be revealed.
What is currently known as the California Screamin’ roller coaster will become the Incredicoaster, themed on the film The Incredibles. The film’s sequel will come out in June, so it seems to be good timing for the update.
Mickey’s Fun Wheel is going to become Pixar themed as well. The ride will stay the same but the gondolas will soon have Pixar characters on the ride’s gondolas instead of Mickey.
The pier’s Cover Bar and Ariel’s Grotto restaurant will both be closed down for the renovations as well, but it has not yet been announced what the changes to the popular food and drink spots will entail. The big reveal of the new details will come during Pixar Fest on April 18, 2018.
