Kayaks are generally rather large to be carrying around, but one company created a kayak that can be folded up into a backpack.
The Pakayak design allows the 14-foot kayak to be disassembled and fit into a three and a half foot long suitcase. It can then be reassembled and be ready to use in just five minutes.
The kayak concept was launched on Kickstarter and recently made 128 percent of its goal. They are currently available for pre order on their website for $1,695 per kayak. They are certainly not a bargain, but that seems to be the price you pay for convenience.
Not only are the kayaks foldable to a size that can be checked on an airplane, but they also make storing in the home an easy task as well.
