JetBlue is currently offering round trip flights from Fort Lauderdale and New York City to Cuba, starting at only $135 in total. The airline was the first to make regularly scheduled commercial flights to the country when they started the service in August.
The $135 round trip flights are from Fort Lauderdale, and the ones from New York are a little more but still a crazy deal at $198. The flights offered begin in November and last until February.
Other cities also have some great deals, which can easily be found using JetBlue’s Best Fare Finder. Putting in Havana as the destination and then searching for deals will show all of the current options.
While travel to Cuba is officially allowed again, travelers still have to prove that they’re going for a reason besides tourism alone. There are 12 different categories of travel purposes that have been approved by the government, such as education.
President Barack Obama recently declared that visitors to Cuba are allowed to bring as many Cuban cigars and as much Cuban rum as they want, as long as they plan to use it for their own consumption only.
