Jamaica has plans to reopen the Palmyra Resort and Spa in Montego Bay Hotel as the Jewel Grande. The property was acquired by Sagicor Managed Funds in 2016 has been going through massive renovations.
The rebrand will make the property the fourth Jewel resort that is on the island. The company also owns the Jewel Paradise Cove Beach Resort & Spa, Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa, and an all-ages resort called Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort.
The Paradise Cove location is an adults-only spot and is popular for its health-conscious focus on fitness and relaxing spa services. The family-friendly Jewel Runaway Bay has a waterpark that is popular with the kids. It also offers an 18 hole golf course for the parents.
