Italy is launching a free wi-fi app that will offer access to free wi-fi for everyone. Wifi Italia will be connected to hotspots all over the place that can be accessed with a single login.
The app has language options for both Italian and English. It has already been launched in Rome, Milan, and Tuscany. The intention behind the app is to make it easier for tourists to access the internet to book tickets and make other travel related plans.
So far the app has been reviewed as a “flop” due to connection issues but one would assume that those would be fixed up if the app remains active. Italy reportedly has the slowest internet speeds in Europe.
