There is a town in Italy that will pay people to move there. Candela, a medieval town located in Puglia is apparently a bit light on residents and its mayor Nicola Gatta wants to bring back the feeling of the hustle and bustle.
Nicola explained why he’s willing to offer $2,376 as an incentive to new residents.
“I work each day with passion and commitment to bring Candela back to its ancient splendor. Up until the 1960s, travelers called it Nap’licchie (Little Naples), for its streets full of wayfarers, tourists, merchants, and screaming vendors.”
As for what the town has to offer, it has lots of homes t be filled, classic architecture, and a lot of greenery. It hasn’t experienced any crime in 20 years (although perhaps that’s because the population is so low), and there is a lot of locally grown and homemade food to enjoy.
